Safe Activities For the Summer
If you are among those of us who have experienced the joys of the warm weather and the beach this summer, but would rather not venture out onto the sand or into the sea water, there are still ways for you to enjoy your safe-at-home summer. One great way to do this is by way of the many safe games that you can play either indoors or out. Not only can these games provide some much needed entertainment during the cooler seasons, but they can also help to reduce the stress of a hectic summer as well. So if you want to make the most of your safe-at-home summer, here are a few fun activities that you and your family can participate in:
Escape the Sandbox is a board game that is ideal for children of all ages. This game is one that can be played with 2 or more people and often begins with a simple pencil and paper board. For your first player, designate someone to act as the sand trap, and designate someone to be the rescuer. The object of the game is for the participant playing the rescue role to draw a line down on the playing piece. Then that player and each participant on their turn will draw a new box that represents whatever land they are to stop on.
To make the most of your safer-at-home summer, it may also be fun for you and your children to try your hand at one or all of these. Be sure to check the rules of these games before you begin so that you can enjoy them fully. Also, remember that just because these games are not overly complicated does not mean that they are easy to play. You and your children are sure to find that the safe games that you and your family can play will provide hours of fun this summer.
